Nyko Launches Headset Alternative, SpeakerCom For Consoles

SpeakerCom for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Nyko Technologies, the LA-based gaming accessories manufacturer, announced the launch of SpeakerCom for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The high quality speaker and microphone attachment connects to controllers for a headset free gaming audio experience.

The sleek design that is incorporated into the controller doesn’t interfere with gameplay and allows for easy audio controls without moving from the controller.

SpeakerCom fastens to the bottom of a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One controller; eliminating the need for a headset and providing a clear loudspeaker for easy communication. An easily accessible push-to-talk button on the controller allows for uninterrupted gameplay. SpeakerCom also allows for Cortana on Xbox One, players can easily control their entertainment devices using voice commands. The device features a built-in rechargeable battery which can be charged using the included micro-USB cable.

While this is absolutely a niche product, it does offer a nice solution for long gaming hours with an uncomfortable headset comfortable. It also eliminates the need for additional wires while playing. The SpeakerCom is now available at major retailers for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $24.99
