What an amazing month, right? With hot titles that seemed to come out every week, it is amazing how all did so well.
With no surprise, God of War III was on top with over a million copies sold. That is amazing considering the game came out during the middle of the month. Not to mention it is a Playstation 3 exclusively, and statistic show that exclusives usually don’t come out on top like that. With that aside, Square is rolling around in money. The PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII sold more than the Xbox 360 version by over 300,000. Other franchises like Pokeman, Battlefield, and Mario are also on the list.

As for hardware, Nintendo is on top like normal. With the Nintendo DS moving 700,000 units, the company should just take a vacation. Recently, it was announced that a newer model, Nintendo 3DS, should be hitting shelves sometime next April. Wii is next with over 550,000 units moved. In the HD department, Xbox 360 takes the edge over the Playstation 3 once again by 24,500 units. Don’t expect much this month from Playstation 3 since no heavy hitters aren’t coming out. It’s also worth noting that the Playstation 2 is still selling over 100,000 at it’s old age.
