We know Nintendo’s teamed up with Best Buy, and what a strategic move this could be. Nintendo and Best Buy the excitement of upcoming games directly to fans across the United States and Canada. Called the Nintendo Experience, gamers will be able to check out Nintendo’s latest games, but only for a short while. Wherever you live, the demos will be open on Wednesday, June 12 from 4-8 pm local time, and again on Saturday, June 15, from 1-5 pm local time. Hmm..those are the exact dates of the E3 conference, right? Ah well, this must be a coincidence.
At any rate, 119 locations are planned, that’s 89 in the US and another 21 in Canada.
Check the Nintendo Experience page here to see if there’s a location near you hosting the event. Unfortunately, that page won’t be of much use to our Canadian readers, but a full list of cities can be found here.
We don’t know yet what games will be playable, but they will be announced at E3 on June 11th, we’re told. We’ve gotten word from an inside source that Best Buy also plans to have sales on “Wii U hardware and select Nintendo titles” during this time, so savvy gamers might be able to find some deals, particularly Nintendo’s first-party games, which are notorious for holding their price far longer than most software.
Check back on The Game Fanatics soon for the full list of games, and make sure your body is ready for our upcoming E3 coverage from the show floor.
