On the Swapnote app today, Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma hinted at what could be a new Zelda game coming to the 3DS. To see this message on your 3DS, install and open Swapnote and activate SpotPass. You should receive the note.
“Hello, this is Aonuma, Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda producer,” he says in the note. “Did you enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D? Thanks to everyone, the Legend of Zelda series had a very happy 25th anniversary. I hope you’re looking forward to new Legend of Zelda games.”
Nothing official, but hope is better than nothing right? At this time, no new Zelda games have been announced, but you never know. Aonuma has also previously expressed that he’d like to bring Majora’s Mask to the 3DS, a good idea for the very underrated title. Personally, I’d love to see a Link to the Past with updated graphics. Stay posted to see if this pans out to be anything.
