We’ve just gotten word that Nintendo Direct, Nintendo’s online news broadcast, will be airing a new segment tonight at 9PM PDT. The segment is going to focus on news related to the Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS. Yeah, nothing new on the Wii U unfortunately. But, considering that 3DS coverage was pretty light at this past E3 and the last Nintendo Direct broadcast focused mainly on the Wii U controller, there may be some nice new tidbits of information coming our way.
Its also safe to say that the days left for the Wii and DS are numbered. The 3DS has been gaining some momentum as far as titles and sales and the Wii U is looming on the horizon. At the very least its nice to know that Nintendo hasn’t completely left the owners of those older consoles in the dust (unless the entire segment is just to tell us both systems are officially getting the axe). Tune in tonight at 9PM PDT here: http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo_direct. I guess we’ll all find out together.
