The Next Prince Of Persia Game Could Be Around The Corner, and In 2D

For those of you that don’t know the last Prince Of Persia was released in 2010 (The Forgotten Sands) and we haven’t seen or heard anything about future console titles since, until today. A source claims that Ubisoft Montpellier studio is working on a 2D Prince Of Persia title that uses the same engine as Raymond Legends (UbiArt).

So will there be A New Prince Of Persia Game in 2D?

Though there hasn’t been official confirmation yet, Ubisoft Engineer Drew James tweeted this tid bit earlier…

Prince Of Persia: Sands of Jake Gyllenhaal learns Farsi in Time

Since then the tweet has been taken down but considering our pal Drew tagged some of his fellow Ubi’ers we don’t suspect it was an accident. What do you guys think, excited for a potential new genre of Prince Of Persia games? For now you’ll have to wait and see.
