Earlier this week Microsoft announced a new spring Xbox 360 bundle. Your first thought might be “The Xbox One is out now, why would anyone care?” But with the lack of backwards compatibility on Microsoft’s newest console, it’s nice to see that they plan to keep the XBox 360 around for a while.
Last spring’s Xbox 360 bundle included Batman: Arkham City and Darksiders II, an additional wireless controller and a month of Xbox Live. This year we’re gifted with Borderlands 2 and Forza Horizon with a 250GB Xbox 360. Borderlands 2 will be available as a digital download while Forza Horizon races to the bundle on a disc. Like last year it also comes with an additional wireless controller and a month of Xbox Live.
The bundle can be found in stores now for $299.99. But there’s great news if you move quickly. Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, has confirmed that there is a $50 discount for a limited time, meaning you can snag this bundle for $249.99. These savings are available to US residents only and Larry didn’t mention when the deal is expected to end.
We don’t know what day this bundle will be available but it will be sometime later this month. Microsoft is set to release a Titanfall bundle on March 25th, so we may see the spring bundle drop around that time.
