Some new information about the elusive Mass Effect: Andromeda was released last night during Sony’s PlayStation event in New York City.
Unlike the previous Mass Effect series, Andromeda’s male and female protagonists will both be in the game as brother and sister instead of being an optional choice. Now, players will choose whether to play as the Male Ryder sibling or the Female Ryder sibling. It is still uncertain if you will be able to customize both or not, and little was told about each sibling’s personality or character.
Mass Effect: Andromeda also showed off its 4K resolution in a tech demo video. The game was played on the PS4 Pro, which was also announced during the press conference. Bioware did confirm, however, that the game will be running at 30 FPS for both classic PS4, the PS4 Slim, and the PS4 Pro.
Sadly, there was not a lot of other information shown about the game. Bioware did promise to release more info on November 7, aka N7 Day. Last year, a teaser trailer was released for Mass Effect: Andromeda that featured one of the Ryder family. This has been confirmed by Bioware to be the father of the Ryder siblings. No names were released.
What do you think of the demo? Does it really show off the 4K resolution? Is 30 FPS a bit low for your tastes? Got a nice nickname for the Ryder family members? Let us know in the comments below!
