Capcom has today released some fantastic new screenshots from Lost Planet 2, including several featuring the new Debouse monster letting rip and showing off its massive fang-filled maw! The Debouse is one of several new monsters appearing in the sequel, including the equally ferocious-looking Red Eye and Gordiant, and fans will also be pleased to know that the giant Akrid also makes a return. The screenshots do a fine job of showing off Capcom’s award-winning MT Framework advanced graphics engine, with Lost Planet 2 being the first game to be made with the new 2.0 version.
Lost Planet 2 is the sequel to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, the landmark third-person shooter that sold over 2.3 million units worldwide. Lost Planet 2 promises to offer deeper insight into the world of E.D.N III and the uncertain fate of future mankind, and is set ten years into the future when the planet is no longer covered by ice. The game will be out on PS3 sometime this year.
