The Pokémon Company International has announced that the mythical fan favorite Pokémon, Deoxys, will make a rare appearance next month for Pokémon Black and White 2 as well as the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) . Starting on May 8, players will be able to add a level 100 Deoxys to their Pokémon party over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection special character distribution for Pokémon Black and White 2.
Starting on the same day, TCG players can add the powerful psychic-type Pokémon to their collection of cards as Deoxys-EX through the Black and White – Plasma Freeze expansion that will launch in retail stores on May 8.
Deoxys is a Pokémon that can change its Forme to suit you battle needs. Players in Black and White 2 can visit Nacrene City to change between Deoxys’ Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme, and Speed Forme. All of Deoxys’ Formes have distinct appearances and advantages, so players will be ready for anything.
In the Black and White – Plasma Freeze expansion Deoxys-EX will make an apperance as the front runner with 170 HP, the ability to power up allied Team Plasma Pokémon and turn opponents’ Energy against them with the formidable move Helix Force. Deoxys-EX will be accompanied by more than 110 new cards including other Pokémon-EX cards like Thundurus-EX, Latios-EX, and Latias-EX in addition to a pair of ACE SPEC Trainer cards so powerful that only one is allowed per deck.
The TCG Black and White – Plasma Freeze expansion launches next month on May 8 on the same day as the level 100 Deoxys will be distributed to Pokemon Black and White 2 players over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection that will last until May 31.
