More Details on WWE 2K14's 30 Years of Wrestlemania

2K has revealed more details on the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode in this year’s WWE 2K14. In a new piece by IGN, we not only get a better look at WWE 2K14‘s answer to the Attitude Era mode in WWE ’13, but we also get a glimpse at a couple of matches we’ll be able to relive when the game hits the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 29th, such as the final match of the Wrestlemania IV tournament: Randy Savage vs. Ted Dibiase.

With Hulk Hogan, in the first of many, MANY “passing the torch” moments.

Truly, the Attitude Era mode was one of the best things about WWE ’13, and we understand that 2K is looking to make this year’s version even better: we already know who will be in the 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode, and we’ve also heard that most of the WWE‘s current active roster will also be in the game.

It looks like Wrestlemania VI will be in there too.

It seems it’ll also play similarly to the Attitude Era mode as well, as you’ll be given an on-screen checklist of the most important historical parts of each match that you’ll need to pull off before you can count it as successfully cleared. That means reenacting classic WWE moments, but still having the freedom to determine just how you get there.

So far, we know there will be two matches from Wrestlemania III: Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant and Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat; Wrestlemania VI‘s Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior; the Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels ladder match from Wrestlemania X; Steve Austin vs. The Rock from Wrestlemania XV; The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania XVIII; Edge vs. Mick Foley at Wrestlemania XXII; Triple H vs. Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXVIII; and John Cena vs. The Rock, also from Wrestlemania XXVIII.

WWE 2K14 arrives October 29th. A PC version has long been rumored, but so far, is not confirmed.
