Monument Valley 2 is Already Available for iOS

Monument Valley 2

It has come out of nowhere but Monument Valley, one of the most popular mobile indie titles from 2014, has just received a sequel. Monument Valley 2 has been announced by surprise during Apple’s WWDC event today. It’s actually available already for iOS for $4.99 on the App Store. This seems to be a time-limited exclusive game so the Android version should be coming soon.

We leave you here the launch trailer, which has also been aired today.

Monument Valley 2: More Puzzles, More Family

When it came out in 2014, Monument Valley proposed us a setting of minimalist, yet labyrinthine worlds. Levels where perspective was an optical illusion but also, the key to move a little princess to her destination. This indie puzzle, which has received unanimous praise ever since, even caught the attention of Netflix. Yes, Monument Valley made all its way to House of Cards and you can see Francis Underwood enjoying it on Season 3.

By the looks of it, Monument Valley 2 brings all the good aesthetics and gameplay of the original game. This time, however, we will be controlling not a single character but two different ones, a mother and a child. Our only hope is that the sequel is a tad lengthier than its predecessor, which felt way too short.

What about you, have you played the original Monument Valley? Are you looking forward to play this sequel? What other games are you playing on your mobile devices? Let us know in the comment section down below!
