Moira Storms Onto Overwatch Servers in Time for Free Weekend

Moira

Today, a new update for Blizzard’s smash-hit Overwatch will allow players to download  and play as Moira. The new character was announced at Blizzcon just a couple of weeks ago and is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. She was added as a part of the public test region (PTR) on November 6. This might be the quickest turnaround from announcement to release for an Overwatch hero thus far.

Moira enters the fray as the title’s 26th hero and we are pretty excited about her.  She is classified as a support hero but will have seemingly large damage output.  In addition, she dishes damage through orbs that look similar to those that Zenyatta uses.  Polygon’s Heroes Never Die community has compiled a list of Moira’s currently available cosmetics.

Moira’s lore connects her with Talon and Reaper and the Blackwatch.  Before this she was a geneticist who was ousted for controversial studies.  According to her origin video, she is the one who made Reaper into what he is currently.

If the new character wasn’t enough to have you jump back into the game then Blizzard has an even sweeter deal for you. Overwatch is also free to play this weekend through Sunday.  If you have not yet purchased the game and want to see what it is all about, now is the time!
