In the build up to Minecraft’s eventuall full release in November, Notch and Mojang are working on turning the already stellar game into something outstanding with a series of staggered updates. We already know a few details of what’s to come, including a ‘Hardcore mode’ and the possibility of enchantments. The newest feature to be leaked though is far less intense, and much more cute. Yep, baby animals.
“Baby animals don’t drop loot or xp, have a faster animation, and higher pitched sounds. Also, they eventually grow up.”
Notch has previously speculated at the possibility of every creature in the game laying egges (that includes cows…) so this would fit in nicely with Notch’s musings. Aside from looking adorable they add another level of depth to the fast-growing world of Minecraft.
With 2 more major updates scheduled for release between now and the November 18th release, expect to hear from from the world of Notch.
