Microsoft’s PAX Prime appearance this year will feature playable demos of upcoming games as well as some surprises.
Announced by Major Nelson, the playable demos at PAX will include Halo 4 multiplayer, Forza Horizon, Resident Evil® 6, and Tomb Raider. Microsoft will also have previews of new XBLA, Dream Build Play, and Windows 8 games. The XBLA games that will be at PAX will include State of Decay, Crash Course 2, Avatar Motocross Madness, and Happy Wars, XBLA‘s first free-to-play title.
Microsoft will be hosting a booth (#412) for the winners of 2012’s Dream Build Play competition. The four winners from Xbox 360‘s division and the top four for Windows Phone’s division will have their titles on display.
For those unfamiliar with Dream Build Play, it is Microsoft’s global competition for developers to create innovative and unique games for Xbox 360 and Windows 8. Winners receive $112,500 in cash prizes and have the chance to become part of the Registered Development Program (RDP).
Last but not least, Microsoft will reveal a surprise involving Gears of War: Judgement, as well as show off features for the upcoming FIFA 13 and Fable: The Journey.
