Microsoft Xbox Live Game Room: Impressions

Remember the days when you first got your Nintendo NES and played Duck Hunt and Mario. Then out of nowhere, a unique half cartridge which played the collection known as 31 in 1. And even 41, 51 in 1 games for the NES Rom.

With only memories to remind us of the good times, Microsoft took it upon themselves to give us a chance to relive those good times again.

Refreshed with a retro modern twist, the Xbox Live Game Room is like being a teenager for some of us all over again. Games that go back even further then some of us can remember (Atari 2600, Intellivision), while Arcade is closer to the late 80’s.

There’s enough of a selection (Centipede, Asteroids Deluxe, Super Cobra and more) for now to keep you wondering how far you can recant your childhood through playing retro games in the Game Room.

Playing the games like a coin operated machine was a nice touch in addition to the different backgrounds and items you can use to make the place more of your own. Eventually there will be at least a thousand retro games to play in the Game Room.

So go check out Microsoft’s Xbox Live Game Room on your Xbox 360, you’ll thank your inner youth for it.
