It had been previously reported that gamers opting for the PC version of Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would have to play the game online. That’s no longer the case. That wasn’t the only problem with Metal Gear Rising, but it certainly was the biggest. Smaller gripes like a resolution capped at 1080p and poor mouse controls frustrated gamers who have waited nearly a year to take on Raiden’s craziest adventure yet. The “always on DRM” turned out to be unintentional, according to Destructoid’s version of the story, instead amounting to a bug. A patch has already been released to amend the issue. Those who already bought the game may end up having to redownload it, though.
This version is the complete edition of Metal Gear Rising, including all the skins, weapons and level packs released so far. This means that you get the Blade Wolf and Jetstream Sam story packs alongside extra VR missions and costumes for Raiden.
