When Mass Effect 3 was announced for the Wii U back at E3, we’d all be wondering when the title would launch. Today, we found out that it’ll be released the same day as the console: November 18th.
BioWare announced today that the full details for the release of Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U. The release will include the Extended Cut DLC on disc, as well as the Rebellion, Resurgence, and Earth multiplayer packs. In addition, the Dark Horse comic that accompanied the PS3 release of Mass Effect 2 will return, as Wii U owners, presumably, have never played the original Mass Effect. The comic will be expanded as Nintendo gamers, also presumably, have yet to play either of the first two titles. You’ll still be able to pick and choose specific details for major plot pieces in the first two games.
Executive Producer Melanie Faulknor mentioned exclusive content that will take advantage of the Wii U’s GamePad, but didn’t go into any specific details, only mentioning that the content, developed both by BioWare and Straight Right, will “enhance Mass Effect 3.”
