Major Nelson, Director of Programming for Xbox Live, may have hinted upon the Xbox One’s future at this year’s GameStop Expo in Las Vegas.
When asked if Microsoft was happy to appease customers by resending features or saddened by a compromise of their vision Major Nelson replied that Microsoft much preferred to retain their gaming community, but that “the amazing thing about the Xbox One is we can update and upgrade” and that there are “features we’re excited about, but were just going to put them here [motions to his side]”.
Does this mean that another Xbox One U-turn is in the cards? Will features like “always-online,” an always-connected Kinect and Microsoft’s stance on DRM be reinstated? We are currently waiting for a response from Microsoft, check back here at The Game Fanatics for updates.
