London MCM 2011 Preview

Calling all gamers, anime fans and cosplayers, make sure the 29th of October is free, London Comic-Con is in town. Once again London is set to play host to the countries premier Game and Anime convention, offering something for everyone in the heart of the capitol.

This year sees some fantastic exhibitions and stalls that’ll be sure to have you wishing for more hours in the day. Attendee’s this year will be able to get a hands on experience with some of the most hotly anticipated titles coming later this year, let’s take a look shall we?

Assasin’s Creed: Revelations

The next installment in Ubisoft’s outstanding franchise will see the culmination of Ezio and Altair’s part in the epic struggle against the Templar. Set in constantinople, Ezio must take down the growing threat of a rising Templar army. Armed with some new and gruesome weaponry including the Hookblade and the Zipline, your enemies have more reason to fear you now more than ever.

 

Batman: Arkham City

The Dark Knight returns in the long anticipated sequel to Arkham Asylum. Take control of the caped crusader himself and explore the sprawling area that is now Arkham city, fighting your way through many of Batman’s most iconic enemies. This game promises to expand on the fantastic gameplay that made Arkham Asylum the award winning game it was, all set in one of the most popular comic universes of all time.

 

The Darkness II

Get back in the role of Jackie Estacado in The Darkness II. Wield the darkness like never before as Jackie battles to keep a lid on his powers. Adding all new mechanics to the existing set you can expect to take down anyone foolish enough to stand in your way, perhaps you’ll finally find an answer to what the darkness truly is?

 

Saints Row: The Third

Saints Row offers explosive, open world action like it’s never been done before. With it’s unique and bizarre style, over the top craziness and downright fun this is a game not to be missed. This instalment of the trilogy sees the 3rd street saints battling for supremacy of Steelport as the syndicate, a rival gang, starts to muscle in on your turf. Obviously the only way to deal with them is with bloody, fun-packed action.

As well as the AAA game titles, this year show offers the chance to meet some of your favourite TV stars. Among the starstudded line up is Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey, A Town Called Eureka’s Dr. Asllison Blake (played by Salli Richardson Whitfield), Torchwood’s Vera Juarez (played by Arlene Tur) and Fullmetal Alchemist’s Edward Elric (played by Vic Mignogna).
