LEGO: Legends of Chima Announced, Spans Three Games

Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games‘ next entries in the LEGO series are set to build off a new collection of toys. LEGO: Legends of Chima (and no, that’s not a typo of China) takes place in a “land inhabited by different magical animal tribes,” and will be offering three distinct games for LEGO fans to jump into, starting today with LEGO: Legends of Chima: Speedorz on LEGO’s website and iOS for free. Speedorz is a racing mini-game where players “unleash the power of CHI to boost their Speedorz (race cars), all while collecting studs and rewards to unlock more Speedorz and customize characters.” So think Mario Kart with a spiritual side.

Then coming to PS Vita this summer and Nintendo 3DS this fall is LEGO: Legends of Chima: Laval’s Journey, which follows the lion-esque Laval in a “fight for justice,” and wrapped up with LEGO: Legends of Chima Online, a free-to-play MMO from WB Games Montreal. Players will be able to build their own kingdoms, interact with the series characters on missions, and more, sometime this Fall. Whether Online is for consoles, PC/Mac, or both remains to be seen.

One thing to note is a reward system that has been set up for those who play Speedorz and Laval’s Journey; points earned in either of those games can be used to unlock content in Online.
