Reported by developer Crystal Dynamics, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris has officially gone gold ahead of its December 9th digital release date.
As a follow-up to 2010’s successful Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have been had at work for the past several months in developing an adventurous sequel to the cooperatively driven puzzle platformer.
“Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris rekindles the sense of fun fueled co-op adventure,” says Head of Studio Darrell Gallagher. “Pushing boundaries even further, the title offers one to four-player co-op, new weapons, upgrades, and power ups, and a larger world ripe with exploration, puzzles, traversal, and arcade inspired combat. It represents our opportunity to develop a game that places multiplayer fun with your friends at the heart of a AAA next generation digital game.”
In addition to this announcement, Crystal Dynamics also released a new developer diary that focuses on Lara and her gang solving puzzling feats in order to reach their objectives. Guided by Executive Producer Scot Amos and Lead Level Designer Jeff Wajcs, the video explain the specificities that go hand in hand with creating refreshing puzzles that will both challenge and reward players in a generous fashion.
