Kingdom Hearts 3 still has a long way before being released, but the wait seems smaller since the announcement of the game. Famitsu had a few things to share about the game.
We do know that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be launching for the PS4 and Xbox One. It will take place after Dream Drop Distance, which was released on the Nintendo 3DS in July of 2012. Your party in Kingdom Hearts 3 will consist of three people. Characters based in the current world that you are in will also help Sora and his party members fight.
“We’re proceeding along with which worlds we’ll be selecting for the game. It’s the final episode in the ‘Dark Seeker’ saga that began with the original KH, and it’ll depict the final battle with Xehanort.” – Tetsuya Nomura
Xehanort is the original persona of Ansem and Xemnas and the apprentice of Ansem the Wise. He has been part of the Kingdom Hearts franchise since the very beginning. Xehanort is a firm believer that light and darkness should coincide with each other. He is responsible for the Heartless invading worlds and other, countless acts.
