July’s PS Plus Line Up Revealed

It’s about that time again when the monthly free titles across Sony’s consoles are announced through PS Plus. Furi and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell lead the charge for next month.

Taking a look at the PlayStation 4 offerings, we have the neon-themed indie title Furi, where the name of the game is to tackle uniquely styled bosses in a easy to approach way but with depth to create challenging duels for the player. Furi comes from The Game Bakers, a developing team located in Montpelier, France. This team sought to create an experience where players could enjoy both the simplistic and complex nature of combat.

At the very least, Furi’s art direction looks incredibly stylish and should have folks recall the Afro Samurai anime. Takashi Okazaki, who is the creator for the Hip-Hop meets Japanese culture tale helped with character designs of Furi.

Then we have Gat Out of Hell, the insane epilogue to Saints Row IV. Taking place in the open-world environment of New Hades, players are free to go around and…well, raise some hell. Volition, the developers behind Saints Row, provide wild antics and just an all around good time with a title that does not take itself seriously at all.

Those are just the PS4 games leading the charge in July. Take a look at the rest of the games coming on PlayStation 3 and Playstation Vita:

  • Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, PS3
  • Fat Princess, PS3
  • Furi, PS4
  • Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines, PS Vita
  • Prince of Persia: Revelation, PS Vita
  • Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, PS4

In addition to these six games, PS Plus members can also get early access to Paragon before the open beta drops on August 16th. This MOBA comes from developer Epic Games, mostly known for their work on the Gears of War games. In addition to Paragon itself, PS Plus members also receive a “Starter Pack that includes three Master Challenges for the heroes Gadget, Murdock, and Rampage (to unlock skins, XP boosts, emotes, deck slots, and more — a $40 value).”

Come next month, a total of seven games will be readily available to download for Plus members. Be sure to take advantage of these freebies and happy gaming!
