Inside Scoop: Captain America

Here are the photos we’ve been wanting to see for some time now: our first look at one of the actual costumes for Captain America: The First Avenger.

London’s Daily Mail website published tons of cool action photos involving a stunt player in full WW2 combat gear.

Frankly, these aren’t the kinds of photos the studio would prefer fans see as they won’t present the costume or character in the best light. The costume looks a little goofy when it’s just a stunt guy standing around or riding his motorcycle. We’ll expect this to look a lot better through the camera lens, with color timing and shot composition in place. But he’s got wings on the helmet!

More exciting are the photos of the Hydra agents pursuing Cap. While Cap’s bike looks fairly standard-issue U.S. Army, the Hydra dudes are riding heavy metal, deco, Advanced Idea Mechanics models. And check out that Kirby-tech grill on the chase car! Look closely for the Hydra Emblem serving as the hood ornament. That’s just sweet!
