Injustice: Gods Among Us Trailer Displays Green Lantern's Struggle

Full disclosure: I’m a Green Lantern geek.

So it should come as no surprise that I sat there, grinning like a psycho, while watching the latest trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us, which comes out for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U next week. The game is all about what would happen if the world’s greatest heroes, the Justice League, became its greatest threat by taking over in the interest of “peace.”

This particular trailer features Green Lantern Hal Jordan in all his green – and yellow? – glory, a nice subtle way to take a look at the internal struggle many of the DC Comics heroes will encounter over the course of the story, which ends up portraying Batman leading an insurgency against Superman‘s regime.

This particular trailer shows off the European Collector’s Edition; the US Collector’s Edition has a similar amount of goodies, albeit a different Wonder Woman vs. Batman statue. The Collector’s Edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us is only available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
