Industry Executives Doubt PS VITA’s Success in Mobile Market

When it comes to the handheld market Nintendo dominates it with an iron fist. Only a company like Apple in my opinion could give Nintendo a run for their money, but you’re not here to listen about my take on the situation. Two gaming industry executives from Heavy Iron Studios doubt the PS Vita will be as successful as everyone thinks. Both Lylle Hall and Matthew Seymour say the device is a complete disappointment.

Seymour Says;

consumers no longer want this type of console. IPhone and Android devices are giving people a satisfying gaming experience, and users don’t want to reach deep in their pockets to pull out this device.

Again, Seymour is right in his opinion. Because of the investment consumers had to make with the Nintendo 3DS, which recently, has been experiencing the same problem that Sony’s PSP did back during its initial launch. Basically a nice piece of hardware with barely any software. An investment consumers hate, especially when the devices themselves are that bad. Sony’s looking to not make the same mistakes as they did with the PSP. They have added the second analog nub that gamers have been asking for, and they are providing a strong gaming lineup for the consoles release, unlike that of the PSP. Doubt’s aside, the PS Vita is a nice piece of hardware that will have a great amount of software coming with it, hopefully Sony will market it like crazy so it will be successful.
