In Case You Missed It – Gaming News for the Week of February 27 – March 5, 2017

Kojima, Mikkelson

I think everyone has heard enough about people licking Nintendo Switch cartridges, so let’s talk about other things. You know, just In Case You Missed It!

In Case You Have to Have Some Switch News…

Fiiiiiine, have it your way. It turns out that there’s a secret message on the Switch Pro controller. It’s cute, in traditional Nintendo fashion.

In Case You Have an Xbox One and $10 to Spare…

Xbox is rolling out the Xbox Game Pass, a paid subscription service that grants access to a library of over 100 games. The service costs $10 a month and is separate from the Xbox Live subscription. For the gamer who just got their Xbox One, this might save you a lot of money in the long-run. Some of the games that will be available at the late spring launch are Payday 2, Saints Row IV: Reelected, and Halo 5. Compare that to Nintendo’s plan of giving players one game a month, for that month.

In Case You Thought You’d Never Hear the Words “No Man’s Sky” Ever Again…

You weren’t the only one. You might have heard how there was no one to receive the award. This is why:

In Case You Forgot That James Cameron Has a Bunch of Sequels for Avatar

Get ready for the direct-to-video-game story. Ubisoft is making an Avatar game. No, not the Last Airbender. Yes, the blue cat people story that was more-or-less Pocahontas in space. I… don’t know what else to say.

In Case You Want to Know What Death Stranding is About…

We won’t be getting any hints from Mads Mikkelson, and it’s not because he won’t tell us. It’s because even he can’t figure out what the plot is. In one interview, Mikkelson said, “He was trying to tell me the whole plot of the game. And it’s so elaborate that… I mean, I got lost. But I really wanted to learn more.” I’m pretty sure that’s the summary of all of Kojima’s games.

That’s all for this week’s In Case You Missed It! If you want more, you know where to find it. See you all next week!
