Could the lines between video games and reality be more blurred? If you ask Houston’s FOX affiliate the answer just may be “well, I mean, it looked real!”. On Friday, the Houston Rockets traded (phenomenal) guard, Troy Daniels, the three-point shooting monster they picked up from the D-League a season or two ago. The Houston FOX station was so excited to cover the breaking news they plopped in a screenshot straight from an NBA 2K game (we’re not exactly sure which one).
The station had Daniels on the phone and the anchor ironically asked the player “is this a big disappointment to you?”, to which I’m sure if he were looking at live feed his response may have been along the lines of “oh hell naw, I’m the other black man…you know, the real one.”
In all seriousness though, video games 1…news station graphic producers 0.
