I may not be a professor, but I still have good news for everyone! Blizzard has announced that the open beta for Hearthstone is now live. For those that have already been in the closed beta, nothing will change. You’ll log-in as normal and go about your merry way. Decks and card collections appear to have not suffered a wipe. You will, however, encounter plenty of new players. Just go easy on them.
It should be noted that the open beta is currently only available for those living in North America. Other regions will gain access “within the next few days.”
Blizzard’s forum post ends with a reminder that this still is a beta. There may be hiccups, card balances will happen, and should the worst happen regarding the game’s servers, open beta account activation will be temporarily disabled until everything is fixed.
The Hearthstone beta is only available for PC and Mac. There is no word on a beta for tablet and mobile devices just yet.
