Happy Birthday to Us!

3 years ago, GF was nothing more than a bunch of ideas on scattered papers on a messy bed. Now, here we are, on our 3rd anniversary with a few awesome achievements under our belt. Remember our Gears of War 3 Xbox community Game Night? Or our Memorial Day 24-hour charity stream? How about more recently our Dead Space Developer-Autographed Lithographs, which single-handedly raised almost $2000 for charity.

We also partnered up with Machinima, and launched our very own apparel store. We got a nifty little toolbar and forced Breezy to get a twitter (@TGF_Breezy).

Run DMC? How about Run TMBLr. Check out a handy list of personal and fanblogs brought to you by the awesome writers we have here. Contests? We run those as well, giving away over $1000 worth of items and downloadable goodies, like a PlayStation VIP voucher or 5 badass BradyGames Batman:Arkham City Limited Edition guides.

It’s been one hell of a year, one that would not have been possible without the awesome people behind GF who are always striving to make the site as good as possible. We have so much in store for you guys next year, and with the help of our Community Manager (@TGF_JayonHavok) we’ll be having a calendar filled with weekly game nights, streams, and other events.

Here’s to 3 years of independent ingenuity, and to a 2012 where the world doesn’t end.
