Halo: Reach Official Launch Date Revealed

The good folk at Bungie have been quite secretive when it comes to their latest in the Halo series, and yet the gaming community could not be more hyped.
Previously slated for “fall 2010”, it was expected that Halo: Reach would follow-suit with it’s Xbox 360 predecessors, with a release date leaving plenty of room prior to the busy Christmas period. However, just how close the game is set to fall in-line is likely to come as a surprise to many. Halo 3 arrived in Europe on September 26th 2007, while Halo 3: ODST launched on September 22nd 2009, and now, Halo: Reach is set to arrive on September 24th 2010, sources in UK retail and marketing have today revealed. A placeholder box art has also been released, but official artwork remains to be forthcoming.

Of course, Halo: Reach will still be subject to an invitational beta phase, to which those who purchased Halo 3: ODST will have received an invite within the package, much like that given away with Crackdown for Halo 3 in 2007. This beta –phase is currently expected to arrive in the second quarter of 2010, prior to this year’s E3 wherein further details on the single-player campaign are expected to be revealed. Of course, we will keep you updated with all the latest details.

Halo Reach is an addition to a large franchise known as the Halo Series. There are many games in the series such as Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 as well as the newer addition with birds eye player view, Halo Wars. There is also a line of novels created in order to create a stronger storyline amongst the game, and this specific game is to be taken place between the novels The Fall of Reach and the beginning of Halo First Strike. Throughout all games, the player is allowed to view the different worlds through the eyes of the popular character, Master Chief. While fighting evil with his team along side him, the player is allowed to follow a great storyline of what exactly is happening on the mysterious planet.
