Halo 5: Guardians is on the verge of receiving a good chunk of Multiplayer content later this month. The best part is…it’s all free.
Revealed last night during the 2015 Game Awards Show, the world premiere trailer for “The Cartographer’s Gift” showed off some quick footage of the new content. Warzone will be expanding its 12v12 mayhem through the Battle of Noctus map, while Arena is receiving an all new Overgrowth map. On top of that, there’s new armor to be unlocked, some new weapons to earn including the Classic Rocket Launcher, and a slew of sexy new Legendary REQ items.
The trailer also promises Halo 5: Guardians’ “most improved Forge mode ever,” and two new Big Team Battle maps, Antifreeze and Burial Mounds. To top it all off, the Halo Championship Series is set to launch on Sunday December 6th with a prize pool of $2 million. As a means of celebrating HCS, a Premium REQ Bundle has been made available in-game for 80,000 REQ Points (or $10) that includes HCS-themed skins and emblems. Go grab it soon! It won’t be up forever.
So, free content for this month? Not bad at all. Even better is the fact that free content updates will hit Halo 5: Guardians every month until June 2016.
