Halo 2 PC Multiplayer Support Extended

Great news for you twenty or so people still dual-wielding and sword slashing your way through Halo 2 maps! Halo 2 PC still lives!

Halo Waypoint had announced that Halo 2’s PC servers would meet their end come this February 15th. That’s today. Well, this isn’t so anymore. According to 343 Industries designer David Ellis, the extension is being granted until June of 2013 “while we investigate further support options.”

In other words, not only do those twenty or so people still playing on maps like Lockout get another four months enjoy their online multiplayer, but 343 is now looking into ways to extend it even further! I’d say that’s a win.

Now, in order to play Halo 2 PC, it requires Windows Vista. So if you’re using Vista, Windows 7, or 8, you’re good to go.
