Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street is Leaving Blizzard Entertainment

Greg Street, better known as “Ghostcrawler,” announced this morning that he is leaving Blizzard Entertainment. He will be pursuing a “great opportunity for something new and exciting.”

Street was the Lead Systems Designer for World of Warcraft. He first became well known for joking that Retribution (DPS) Paladins would be nerfed (weakened) “to the ground” back in 2008. Despite this seemingly hateful nature of classes that are “OP,” Street never stopped interacting with the community. He would answer dozens upon dozens of questions on a daily basis on Twitter and kept the WoW community informed with various changes being made to the game’s classes.

It is not stated whether or not he’ll stay in video games, but wherever he goes, he will hopefully take his smile and personality with him.

Fan reaction has been a bit mixed. While some are happy to see him go, others are saddened by the loss. As for me…

This former Holy Paladin will miss you, Ghostcrawler.
