Rockstar Games has officially announced the long-awaited release date for their biggest and insanely ambitious title, Grand Theft Auto V, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
That’s right, folks! Come November 18th, console gamers will now be able to travel back to the city of Los Santos and rural landscapes of Blaine County and experience the over-the-top adventures of Michael, Franklin and Trevor once more. PC gamers will need to hold out for a just a little longer though, as the PC version will follow on January 27th, 2015.
But you can’t really expect that to be it, can you? Of course not! This newly remastered title is no mere port. Rather, Rockstar claims the game makes “Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever.” Whether that be due to increased draw distances or higher resolution, Grand Theft Auto V will also boast further gameplay improvements such as additional wildlife, denser traffic, new weapons and vehicles, a new foliage system, enhanced damage and weather effects, and a slew of more features that are sure to leave gamers truly immersed in the city of Los Santos.
Better yet, Rockstar has also confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC will also feature “enhanced radio selections,” adding over 100 additional new songs and DJ mixes. Further, pre-order incentives looks awfully tempting with the ability for players to receive $1,000,000 in-game cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. This will ensure you have plenty of cash to buy your favorite vehicles, weapons, and properties.
For those who have already experienced Grand Theft Auto V on either the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, exclusive content will be made available to those players. Expect some awesome goodies such as “the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities, including wildlife photography; and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.”
Grand Theft Auto Online also sets to expand on the Multiplayer experience with an increased player count. With up to 30 players in a single online lobby on Xbox One and Playstation 4, you can bet all the usual online shenanigans will be bigger and better than before. Add to that, all existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content will be available at launch as well, ensuring players have plenty of content to tinker with in the sandbox.
If you’re concerned about your current character progression in Grand Theft Auto Online on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, don’t worry, you will be able to transfer any and all progress you have already made with a character onto Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
