Grand Theft Auto Online Patch 1.05 Should Release This Week

Grand Theft Auto Online for Grand Theft Auto V isn’t the first time Rockstar has ventured into the world of online gaming, but it’s been their most troublesome. One of the most impending issues Grand Theft Auto Online seems to be suffering from is player progression, specifically the loss of player progression. Rockstar promises to have the issue fixed in the 1.05 patch. The Stimulus Package, which includes a sum of $500,000 of in-game currency, will be awarded to all players with the patch. It will serve as an apology for all of the issues they’ve had to deal with since the launch of the online service. Should all go according to plan, players will start seeing the sum in their GTA Online accounts sometime this week after the patch rolls out.

In other patch and DLC news, the Beach Bum Pack will be released shortly after the Stimulus Package at no additional cost. The Beach Bum Pack will introduce new beach vehicles, weapons, jobs, and a range of new tattoos and hairstyles to outfit your character with.

Rockstar has also said that they’ll introduce Social Club Event Weekends, similar to what they’ve done for Red Dead Redemption in the past. The events will include Twitch live streams with giveaways, special in-game discounts, XP bonuses, and Event Crate Drops.

The Content Creator is still in the works and is still scheduled for a “fall” release, but there are no updates to write about at the moment.

We’ll have more information on the future of Grand Theft Auto Online as it develops.
