Ghost Recon: Wildlands Open Beta Confirmed Without Official Release Date

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands

Ubisoft recently ran an extremely successful closed beta for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands and they’d be hard-pressed to let that momentum die down. In a recent earnings call, Ubisoft announced they would be running an open beta in the coming weeks.

The news of an open beta comes as no surprise to fans; Ubisoft about it hinted back in November. While there is no solid date for the beta, one would assume we won’t be waiting long. With Ghost Recon: Wildlands so close to release, it’s safe to say the beta will be released sometime in the next few weeks.

Ghost Recon WIldlands Co Op 2

A number of issues were present in the closed beta and will likely carry over into the open beta. Hopefully, the open beta will be used to its full extent and resolve those issues prior to release. A beta this close to release would indicate that Ubisoft looks to resolve server and connectivity issues rather than bugs. Open worlds and bugs/glitches have become quite synonymous with each other. So, fans can definitely live with a couple bugs in return for stable servers. Considering this is Ubisoft’s biggest open world to date a couple of bugs are expected.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands will release on March 7th, 2017 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Keep an eye out for more details on the open beta in the coming weeks.
