Get Mass Effect 2 (PC) for Free!

By simply checking out random gaming Tumblr blogs, I stumbled upon a blog post about getting Mass Effect 2 for free for the PC. I was a bit on the fence about it but I still tried it and I’m happy to say that it is true, Bioware is giving away Mass Effect 2 for the PC for free, as long as you have the Signature Edition of Dragon Age 2. Act fast, you have until April 30th to get your free copy.

As a special thank you for helping with the game’s early success, BioWare would like to present you with a download code for 2010’s Game of the Year, Mass Effect 2 on PC. As always, we sincerely appreciate your support and passion as we remain focused on delivering quality interactive experiences now and in the future. Look for more exciting things coming from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Star Wars: The Old Republic in the future, including our recent launch of Mass Effect 2 Arrival DLC.

As part of EA / BioWare’s sequel celebration, they will be giving away free copies of Mass Effect II for the PC to anyone who purchased Dragon Age II. You must have access to your Online Pass code (The Black Emporium), though they have provided the ability to recover it for players that may have thrown it away after use. If you purchased Dragon Age II used, you aren’t totally out of luck as you can still purchase the Online Pass and follow the steps in the FAQ to retrieve your code. Once you enter your code on the BioWare Social site, you will be provided with a new code to be redeemed in the EA Download Managerfor your copy of Mass Effect II. The offer ends April 30th, so make sure to take advantage of it now!
