Gears of War 3: "Dedicated Execution"

Epic games’ have released a new Vidoc for Microsoft’s biggest exclusive this year Gears of War 3. If you’ve watched the video above you may have noticed the developers talking about how Gears of war’s speed will try to have a perfect balance of speed between Gears of War 1 and Gears of war 2. Personally I’m not sure how to feel about this; being one of the only people I know who prefers Gears of War 2 to it’s much higher praised original I feel that a quicker speed especially for game modes like execution may discourage a lot of new players to the franchise. The fact that Microsoft is banking on this game to be the holiday stocking stuffer and the fact that Gears 1 and Gears 2 almost sold the same amount of copies, I feel Microsoft may look bad to the consumer eye looking at the holiday line ups of the PS3 and Xbox 360. Another major concern is if a multilayer beta will bring back the audience that left because of Gears 2.

However from the footage I have seen so far and the talk about team death match Epic’s fall release really excites me. The graphics from the video look absolutely amazing, some would say on par with Crysis 2. What do you feel about it? Leave feed back in the comments below, and remember people who bought Bullestorm the Beta starts April 18 and will be available to those who preordered on April 25th.
