The creative LittleBigCommunity gets another go on the PS3. Although, it may not be the pure LittleBigPlanet 3 (or LittleBigUniverse) we’ve been assuming Sumo Digital is developing, the strength of LittleBigPlanet has been creation and Sony is giving it the freemium treatment.
At the Gamescom 2013 briefing, Sony announced that the popular Create, Play, Share features of the franchise will be expanded upon with “unrestricted access” for their large online community and be ubiquitous with LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2. This means that all 16 planets from the first two games will be included for free and player costumes, accessories, etc., will carry over into LittleBigPlanet Hub by importing established accounts.
Microtransactions will part of LittleBigPlanet Hub in addition to the free nicknacks already in the game. Weekly challenges and LittleBigPlanet Team picks of community levels will continue the trend of cultivating a social experience.
LittleBigPlanet Hub will be available later this year. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think about a free-to-play LittleBigPlanet game!
