Furi Getting Physical Release This June

Furi

Developer The Game Bakers have announced that their fast-paced hack n’ slash title, Furi, will get a physical release on PC and PlayStation 4. The game originally released digitally last summer.

The PC version will be available via IndieBox, a distributor of specially-crafted physical editions of various independent games. Dubbed the Definitive Edition, this special release comes with a Blu-ray case, the original soundtrack, a 24-page manual and an artwork card which includes a code to download the game and the accompanying DLC.

PS4 players will be available to pick up the physical edition thanks to Limited Run Games. Limited Run Games is a distributor of limited and special editions of PS4 and PS Vita games. The PS4 version of Furi will be limited to 5,000 copies and will be region-free, meaning players across the globe can order the game from Limited Run Games. The blu-ray disc will include both the game and DLC, along with a code to download the soundtrack on Bandcamp. Those interested can grab it for $30.

Additionally, you can learn more about the process behind the game’s creation thanks to a four episode making of series; the latest of which can be viewed above. Each of the four videos last about 12 minutes and focuses on a different aspect. You can catch the previous three for free on Steam.

Episode 4 covers the game’s soundtrack, which was created by electro/synthwave artists Carpenter Brut, Danger, The Toxic Avenger, Lorn, Scattle, Kn1ght and Waveshaper. The score is available digitally or as a deluxe double vinyl edition. The CD version can be pre-ordered on Bandcamp for $15. The soundtrack will also be available via Limited Run Games.
