Frog Fractions Is A Devastatingly Great Game

Everyone at the Game Fanatics is probably tired of hearing talk endlessly about this game. Our staff has chosen the Game of the Year and you voted on our polls. However, I think there’s a maddening omission to our list, Frog Fractions. This parody of 80s and 90s edutainment games caught the attention of gamers in the past few months.

Frog Fractions LOOKS simple. As the frog, you protect fruits from bugs by doing what you do best, eating them. You can upgrade your frog, giving it a cybernetic brain, sticky tongue, lock-on system and more by using the fruit you protect and collect. It will become immediately apparent that this game has little to no educational value. Fractions really only come into play in your scoring, but don’t stop there.

Among other things, Frog Fractions has fantastically funny writing.

While it LOOKS simple, Frog Fractions is waaaaaaay more than it seems. When you get the dragon and make the discovery that this game has much more to offer than eating bugs, the game will not blow, but destroy your mind! The only game that brought me as close to enlightenment are Journey, Braid and Dear Esther.

I shouldn’t keep rambling on like this, because you need to play Frog Fractions. Here’s the best part, one of the most earth-shattering games on 2012 is a free Flash game. You can find it at twinbeardstudios.com/frog-fractions.

I implore you to play Frog Fractions. I write this without the slightest intent of sarcasm. Did I mention that the music is also fantastic? Because it is. Did I mention that Frog Fractions’ writing is amazing? Because it is. For those who are still eating bugs, simply think outside the box and the world of Frog Fractions will open for you.
