Forza Horizon 2 Has Cars On Deck; VIP, Car Pass Announced

Who doesn’t love fast and furious cars racing along sunset tracks? Who doesn’t love seeing lavish, rich show-mobiles taking a few laps against husky, heavy muscle-types? Forza Horizon 2 has all of these things and more combined into one. With the game just inches away from release, Microsoft has announced that Forza fans will be given a bonus car pack on Oct. 3.

Dubbed as the Forza Horizon 2 Launch Bonus Car Pack, players will get some dibs on a total of eight new cars never before unleashed in the Forza series. These eight cars will range from the muscled Mustangs to the swiftest of Ford car brands, and each is said to showcase variety in the overall roster of rides.

The launch pack will include the 2003 Ford Focus RS, 1997 Land Rover Defender 90, 1993 Clio Williams, 2015 Ford Mustang GT, 1987 Buick Regal GNX, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 1968 Abarth 595 Esseesse, and the 1956 Ford F-100.

Microsoft also shed some light on the VIP and the Car Pass.

Forza Horizon 2 VIP Membership (regular £15.99; 50% off or £7.99 for Forza Motorsport 5 VIP members) is like a backstage pass at the Horizon Festival, giving you access to cool content you can only get here. VIP members will receive exclusive benefits in Forza Horizon 2, including the VIP Car Pack,” Microsoft said in a press release.

“VIP membership also awards with 2x player in-game reward acceleration, access to exclusive multiplayer events, in-game gifts from the Forza community team, and special in-game recognition.”

Over a 6-month period, players who subscribe to the car pass will be able to race and trick out a total of 31 different rides. Each month, there will be five cars to download, plus a 2010 Noble M600 just for subscribing to the service.

If you can’t wait until the Sept. 30 release of Forza Horizon 2, a demo of the game has been released today. Go out there and burn rubber, kids.
