Fore! Hit The Links With Golf Club 2

Publisher Maximum Games and developer HB Studios have released a first look at their golf game sequel, The Golf Club 2. This first in-depth look at the game showcases the process behind the game’s development, focusing on all-new features that take the game to a whole new level.

This follow up to 2014’s golf sim will expand on the original by including a progression-based Career Mode, addition of Societies, and improved Course Creator. Alongside these giant improvements to the game, The Golf Club 2 features a host of new environments, new swing mechanics, limitless customization options and dynamic online tournaments.

The developers have listened to The Golf Club community and has built out a series of tournaments players must advance through in Career Mode to move up in status. Additionally, players will now be able to create their own online Society or join a pre-existing one. While you can be part of more than one Society, one of them will be your Primary Membership. You’ll represent your Society in all events you play, climbing your way to the top of Team Leaderboards and upgrading your clubhouse as you progress.

HB Studios also vastly improved the game’s Course Creator by adding more creative freedom to build the ideal course to suit any player’s style. Thankfully, those who spent hours creating courses in the original can upgrade previous masterpieces from the original game. The Course Creator includes a handful of features such as tournament dressings with media stands, crowd placement, multi-level water features; among others.

The Golf Club 2 hits the green this Spring for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game can be pre-ordered and will set you back $49.99. The Day 1 edition includes:

  • Moneybags: Instant payout that will boost your career and give you serious purchasing power
  • Elite Club: Stand out among the crowd with an exclusive 24K solid gold driver
  • Premier Clubhouse: Gain access to an exclusive high society clubhouse for you and your friends
  • Heirloom Apparel: Throwback outfit from the golden age of golf
  • Elite Emblem: Signature badge
