Final Fantasy VII Coming to PC, Again

For those who are older enough to remember, Final Fantasy VII was available for the PC once before. Now Square Enix is rereleasing the classic RPG game for the computer once again, this time with achievements and online features. However, it won’t be on Steam, at least from what we know right now. Square Enix has a website set up here, filled with wallpapers and a “coming soon” sign. There’s also some information on the site, especially one that reads that Final Fantasy VII will support Cloud Saves. This means you can load up your saved game from any computer.

It’s nice to see the return of Final Fantasy VII, but its not on the way that gamers want to see it. Many are still hoping for a remake. Having Final Fantasy VII on PC with achievements but not on Steam, is a bit odd. However this could change, hopefully.

Check out the Final Fantasy VII PC announcement trailer below. What are your thoughts? Should they just remake Final Fantasy VII already? Should the game be available on Steam?
