FIFA Street announces in-game Social Network

EA Sports announced a new feature of the upcoming FIFA Street called the Street Network, which will allow players to capture video of their best tricks and share them in-game with friends. Also, friends will be able to see others’ progress and scores throughout the game. In the World Tour story mode, players create a team and can compete against other players’ teams. The Street Network allows you to keep track of how your friends’ teams are doing. Friends will also be alerts to others’ achievements via the Street Network.

“Street soccer is all about the one-on-one battle, when you pull off a trick to roast your opponent,” said producer Sid Misra. “The Street Network brings that real-world swagger into the game by enabling players to capture video of those moments and share them with everyone in their street network to see, and providing friends with a way to compare each other throughout the game.”

FIFA Street contains new authentic dribbling styles and tricks that enhance the one-on-one battles in more than thirty-five locations. Street features Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi, and gamers that preorder the game gain access to an exclusive adidas team with Messi and 12 other superstars. Owners of an EA SPORTS Season Ticket will gain early access to FIFA Street three days early, on the 17th. Street Network requires and Origin (EA) account.

The Street Network has been praised by critics and looks to be an exciting feature of FIFA Street. Look for it on March 13th worldwide on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
