Far Cry 4's Escape From Durgesh Prison DLC is Wild and Unforgiving

Set to release in early 2015, Far Cry 4’s Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC will task players with racing the clock to complete a series of objectives. Oh, and be careful. Permadeath has never been so unkind.

Far Cry 4’s Single Player narrative is great. There are tons of adventures and missions awaiting to be completed, and there’s no sense of tension in the air when Ajay is armed to his teeth with the best weaponry available and can respawn upon a lousy death.

In the game’s upcoming DLC, players won’t be so privileged. Stripped of their weapons and playing cautiously due to the new permadeath feature, players will need to execute tactical strategies in order to race the clock and reach the extraction point outside Yuma’s prison grounds.

In Ubisoft’s latest blog post, the studio mentioned that Escape from Durgesh Prison is playable both solo or with a cooperative partner. Death carries a heavy price here. “Should you die, you will have to start the mission over again, but this time you’ll have all the knowledge and skills you gained in your previous attempts.”

Far Cry 4 DLC

Far Cry 4 Season Pass holders will be able to receive Escape from Durgesh Prison for free on January 13th, 2015. The add-on can also be purchased separately for $9.99.

Like all Season Passes however, you’d be missing up on the offer of other future DLC goodies (including more missions and a new PvP multiplayer mode) for a reduced price of just $29.99.
