Today, Ubisoft has released a new video for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon where Creative Director, Dean Evans, meets and interviews Michael Biehn. Biehn is an action movie icon of the 80’s who has appeared in such films as The Terminator, Aliens, and The Abyss. Biehn assumes the role of Sergeant Rex Colt in an over the top explosive 80’s style vision of a dark sci-fi future.
Sergeant Rex Colt is on a mission to get the girl, save the world, and kill the bad guys. Colt is also part man, part machine, but all around American badass.
On top of a developer diary interview with Biehn that’s filmed and edited in an 80’s style, we’ve also got a few screenshots of Blood Dragon that is due to release next month on May 1, 2013. Aesthetically, Blood Dragon looks amazing. And in fitting form, there’s a lizard-like dragon in the screenshots down below, which we can only assume has something to do with the name of the standalone downloadable Far Cry 3 title.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and as stated earlier, Blood Dragon is set to release on May 1, 2013. It will make its way to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC as a downloadable title through their respective online retailers and stores. All PC pre-orders will also receive a free copy of the soundtrack by Power Glove.
