Iron Man 3 hits theaters in May, and the knowledge that the Iron Patriot suit will appear in the movie, along with the reveal of the movie’s latest poster, got us thinking: which of Tony Stark‘s suits do we also want to see in live-action?Tony Stark is basically a flashier, more intoxicated version of Batman, who goes through suits more often than some celebrities go through spouses. Here’s a look at the armors we’d like to see in an Iron Man movie:
High Gravity Armor
It’s pretty simple what this armor does: keep Tony alive in atmospheres up to 50 times our planet’s gravity. For a superhero who sometimes has to head into space, this is a key piece of equipment, even if it does make his feet look freakishly large.
Prometheum Armor
Making its debut in the 90s during Marvel’s Heroes Reborn storyline, this suit not only gives Tony an edge in firepower, but also uses small nanobots to heal any injuries he might end up getting in battle. It’s as if he has his own healing factor. Beat that, Wolverine.
Hulkbuster Armor
Thor probably wishes he had this during The Avengers. Simply put, sometimes the Hulk goes a little nuts, and somebody’s gotta take him down… and anything strong enough to take out the Hulk deserves a spot on all lists, everywhere.
Stealth Armor
Iron Man 3‘s plot revolves around a villain who attacks Tony at his home, with his very inventions. This suit is designed to avoid unwanted attention, and would work great should Tony need to fly under the radar.
Bleeding Edge Armor
Never feel naked again. We’ve seen in the past how Tony could get into trouble if threatened while not wearing his suit. This model is made up of nanotechnology that is basically a part of Stark’s own body. Good luck getting that off.
